This program provides skills and knowledge relating to innovative practice and continuous improvement. It is based on the practices within your service and extends into the understanding and implementation of:
Prepared Planners is focussed mainly on the operational side of your service, including staff, policies and procedures as well as relevant legal and ethical requirements.
Prepared Planners offers you the opportunity to measure your service ability to meet the needs of its clients, it then helps you develop effective ways to implement changes and improvement within your service capabilities.

This program supports you to develop relationships with others and to increase your skills of communication to enable you to network effectively not only to promote your service, but to promote yourself as a professional within the children’s services industry.
To complete this program you will be supported to become familiar with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and to use this and other measurement tools to involve stakeholders in quality measurement processes. The outcome of this networking and relationship building activity sees you confidently able to identify your service strengths in relation to the EYLF and then promote your service and yourself to stakeholders and your fellow Advanced Diploma learners across Australia.

The Effective Leaders program supports you in developing your leadership skills and enhancing your workplace effectiveness. Current early childhood practitioners generally have considerable skill in setting expectations and standards for children in their care but appear to have varying degrees of effectiveness in influencing the behaviour of other relevant groups, for example, staff or other professionals they deal with on a day-to-day basis.
In order to be an effective leader you need to work towards creating a harmonious environment that provides a high quality service.
Empowering Leaders includes a range of effective skills and responsibilities that promote rights and reflect on a variety of leadership aspects, one being Emotional Intelligence.

This program leads you through the mentoring process step by step encouraging you to view the perspectives and needs of others and to provide for their needs as a children’s services professional. As a mentor your skills and knowledge are challenged, yet this mentor role is also rewarding and your participation in the personal growth of another person will enable you to also extend your abilities.
