What happens if my child has an accident?

Fortunately serious accidents are few and far between, however children do still have the occasional accident - especially when they are developing walking, running and climbing skills. If this occurs, the appropriate first aid treatment is administered - often an ice-pack and comforting. The appropriate accident report will be completed by staff.  Staff will phone you, just to let you know that there has been an accident, even if your child is fine to stay at the centre. Staff are required to maintain Senior First Aid and CPR qualifications so in the event of a serious accident, you can be confident that the staff know what to do.  Should urgent medical treatment be required an ambulance will be called.
